Default Bridesmaid Dress Problems

Afternoon all

This is my first time on a forum but I was just wanting some advice...
I get married on 14 June this year and I have just found out that my maid of honour's dress has been made up wrongly and have been told that there isnt any time to remake it by the shop.

I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone that can make a dress in 4 weeks. I live in the Leeds area

Would be grateful for any advice/info xx

and to Groovy.

Everyone has a horror story to do with their wedding - honestly you'll look back at this and laugh in years to come

I don't personally know of anyone who could do it in the Leeds area, but I found these ones via google:

MiCreations - Dressmaker Leeds

If it is a common style/colour you might be able to find one that would do second hand?

Oh, and if it is has been wrongly made due to a mistake by the shop, you can demand that they do their level best to put it right...Consumer Direct

Hello and to Groovy

Which part of Leeds are you in? And how far are you able to travel to get to someone?

If you can get over to Liverpool, the dressmaker that did my wedding dress didn't even want to see me until the January and my wedding was Valentines Day. He may be able to help?

You poor thing - but it's true, you will look back on this and laugh about it.

No doubt, laughing is the last thing you're doing at the moment though.

Good luck

Hello

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help/suggestions/advice ...

Just to let you know that I have managed to get the dress sorted - have found someone in Bramley in Leeds that has said she can make another dress in a week so should have it back next week (with 3 weeks to go!!).

Am so pleased it feels that a big weight has been lifted?!

Lou xx

Is it a civil or religious ceremony? How long have you been together, etc etc

Me and Steve have been together for five years. We are getting married at Leathley Church near Harrogate and the reception is at Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley. Cant believe that we will be married three weeks on Saturday - we have been arranging it for the last 18 months. Apart from the hitch re the bridesmaid dresses everything else has been plain sailing and everything is coming together nicely!!!
