Default Marriage Prep Courses

Hi there everyone

Further to my past thread on the above, I have now attended both sessions, and found them to be really good.

Dont know what I was worrying about, and it really helped!!!!

So to anyone who is worrying (I was worried about my partners reaction, he's a really private person, the thought of discussing such topics about each other really put him off)

BUT!! He really liked it too, and we are now free to marry!!!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Karen

Cupid!

Well the first meeting was about getting to know everyone, we had to introduce other couples and find out how they met etc, then we had to answer about 3 questionaires. This was about each other, then we had to compare answers etc.... After that (the worst bit) we had to act out a scene. Someone was a Husband, he had a wife, then some of us were children, then others were other family members etc. Weird!!! But after that it was home time!!

Last night we had the Children Sex and Money discussions!! It was about what you both though of sex, (How many times, what would you do if you didnt get it often enough, what you find acceptable and non acceptable)!!! That was quite funny, then the children was questions like who changed the babies nappies, pocket money etc, and then the last bit was money- Redundancy, unemployment etc Would you help each other.

After that was wine and nibbles!!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't bad, and if you have to do it to get married (like us) it really is ok.

Karen

Our prep day was similar, but no role play !("Phew" icon)

We had to fill out the questionnaire and surprisingly Mark and I agreed on the same thing (hasn't happened since mind )

We watched a video, met the organist and went through readings and mucis and hymns etc, then did another questionnaire which gets sent off and assessed.

At our private meeting, we discussed the results of this, 5 months later, and discussed the findings and how much we had changed, grown together etc.

They are good days, and if your church offers a pred day I'd say go for it!

Lo xx

ohhhhh, now I'm really worried. I have to go to wedding prep class next week, which is fine, but my h2b is working away for a week in Russia so I have to go alone. I'm worried I'll look like a complete fool going alone.

What should I do?

Hello

Is this something you have to do if you and your H2B are different religions or is it the standard to getting wed in a church? I am a catholic and H2B isn;t anything really but I want a catholic wedding, does anyone know the protocol?
