Default Hen night - too far away from wedding?

I've been getting a few murmurs of discontent from some hens that my hen night is on 8th June and I don't get married until 20th July - I didn't want my hen night in July (although I am having my "oldies" hen night 2 weeks before the wedding) as I wasn't sure what would be planned for me and I also can't hold my drink very well - it has been known for me to take up to a week to recover from a hangover! 2 of my BMs are going on holiday in June too and I have my friend's hen night to go to too so it was the only night in June I could make it - do you think I'm having it too far away from the wedding date?

At the end of the day, it's a "hen night" and you're the hen, therefore you're entitled to have your night whenever you want it! One woman in work is having her hen night nearly 2 months before...... no one is complaining!!!

Plenty of time to recover! I don't know when I'm going to do mine... a few weeks before I expect!

I am having my hen night 29th June, and I don't get married until August 3rd. Have to have it then as my CBM is going away 3 weeks before the wedding

But I am having an oldies hen night the saturday before probably.

I don't think that is too far away! My hen night was 4 weeks before the wedding, but it was originally planned for earlier, rather than later!

Stick with your plans, afterall YOU are the bride!

My hen night is on 15th June, but my wedding is not till 24th August!!! So I don't think yours is too early at all. We are having ours so early because it is in the UK, and we can not afford to be popping over very often before the wedding!

I am sure if you explain the reason for having it a little earlier than they would expect, they will understand.

have just done ours - 6 weeks before - simply because it was the only date 27 people could agree on.

Just do what you want to do! To hell with what is the norm etc.
