Default Why do we do it??????

I have just spent the last 45mins shaping my eyebrows, and consequently I am in a little pain, with swollen red eyebrows!!!!

This always happens to me, whether I go to professionals or do it myself

All in the name of vanity...and impressing the other half (who, by the way, just laughs and says I don't need to do it for him!!!! )

I have put it off for so long that I thought it was about time, seeing as we are having out (very belated) engagement photo done tomorrow, and I do not want to look like the monobrow queen!!!!

Why oh why oh why do I do it  ?

Just wanted to make myself feel a wee bit better!!

By the way, has anyone else had photos done by Portrait Place? My sisters were brilliant, but she went to the one in Woking and we're going to the Merton studio. Just wondering?

I know what you mean Rebekah! Eyebrow plucking is one of my most hated bathroom ritual. I get such sore skin from it.

But it will look beautiful tomorrow!

I can't offer any advice about the photo, but have a lovely time! I am sure it will look wonderful!

When plucking your brows, always do it after a bath or shower so that the pores are open. Always pluck the hair in the direction of growth, and apply a witch hazel gel afterwards, then leave it...
I have been doing mine for years and am a part qualified beauty therapist, but it still hurts a little...

I have mine waxed once a month, the more you do it, the less it hurts, apparantley! The jury is still out on that one for me!!

Never had photos done proffesionaly. First time will be the wedding!!

It does hurt more than waxing but it takes less time than plucking, so I go for the waxing But I do find it easier to pluck out the stray hairs that grow back after waxing as they are easier to remove as the root is weakened due to the waxing/plucking process each month.
