Wedding Breakfast/Reception - Wedding Forum

If you are having your wedding breakfast and evening reception at the same venue, how long have they said it will take them to get ready for the evening reception, and will they do it whilst all your guests are watching??
What will you do with your guests whilst the venue get ready??

I am baffled

We have hired a castle for the day and are getting married there, having the w. breakfast there and the evening do.

We will get wed, then go out onto the terrace for pics and champagne, and while that is happening the grand hall is being set up. As we have the run of the entire castle we have lots of rooms to wander into so space for us lot while it is being set up is not a problem. We are getting married in the largest hall of the castle, and are having out W.B in that room too because we have quite a lot of guests. I think (at a guess) it will take them about 45 minutes to set the room up for us.. need to check that with them though!

We are eating in the hotel restaurant and then moving to a Marquee for the evening so there is no hanging around for us. But we do have to be out of the restaurant by 6.30 sharp!
