Default Problems With Relations

I know there are lots of people having problems out there, but why I see no threads yet? Please add your problems and I will try to solve or lift them a little. At the same time, please give advice on mine.

My immediate family do not get on well. Including me, we are arrogant, selfish and hot tempered.
His immediate family are:- Gossips, Selfish and are causing the green house effect all by theirselves.

My distant relations are normal. His I havent been able to get to know or meet yet. His mother will not write an invitation list, so that we can invite cousins etc. that we havent met. We would like too, what are wedding for?

My question is:- How can I make a happy day, get everyone socialising, enjoying theirselves from the beginning, after all it is a wedding?
Any games for the reception tables?
Any scented candles that will charm the mood?
Anything that I can say or do? PLEASE HELP!

well the wedding day is about you so go and make a stand together let them know that it is your wedding day.
If they are not prepared to get along for one day then they might as well not be there.
This is what me and my now husband did and it worked we had a wonderful day.
There was some bitching but we had a good day. if that dose not work then be sympathetic to get what you want tell them that you know that people don't always get along but could you not just do it for us this once.
you would not believe what weddings do to people.

as long as you are happy that is all that matter.
As for the tables sit people that you know that will get on on the same table together and those who don't then put them with people that you think that they might get on with hope that this helps.

Link in signature on first response deleted ...... no advertising allowed, please.

You can't change people being who they are, so don't get stressed trying to achieve this, just fixing the table seating plan is about all you do. Or hire bouncers.
