Went to the Hospital yesterday re CT scan results... - Wedding Forum

hiya all,

just to update you on my appt with the neurologist yesterday.
well all was fine with my CT scan but he wants me to have an MRI full body scan done now, the doc doesnt seem to think its epiepsy but because the EEG showed that something wasnt right! he wants to get to the bottom of it basically!. :(

after the MRI scan he said that he way also keep me in overnight 1 day and monitor me whilst im sleeping!!!

so im on a bit of a downer again today! worrying again ! but ill try to keep my chin up like last time!!

got another appt on 2nd of July so hopefully it\'ll be good news just before the wedding!.

I\'m sorry your feeling down Claire I hope you get good news when you go back. At least they are being thorough (sp?) so they should get to the bottom of it for you. Take care.

If it were me my feeling would be it can\'t be that serious if my next appointment isn\'t until July!! I know the NHS is a bit strapped for cash, but if they think someone is in serious trouble they do not muck about!

Good luck from me too, and Bev is right, if they were really worried about you they would check you straight in, not set you up an appt. months down the line - they are probably just being over cautious, and this way in the end you will have a total peace of mind.

Claire - I can only agree with what everyone above has said. I work in the NHS & although I have no medical knowledge, I do know that if the Drs were concerned about you they would not let you wait until July to see you again. Chin up Bird! ;)
