Hey Everybody

My fiancé Karl and I got engaged last September. Last month I entered a competition at my local radio station to win a wedding. I didn’t think for one second I would come close to winning…. But I did!

To enter I had to give a reason why I think Karl and I deserve to win…. And yes it was a sob story! All true through! (Have a listen; there is an audio link on the website)

Karl and I received a call 2 weeks ago from the radio station telling us that we are in the final 5. They explained to us that all 5 couples will go up against the public vote and the couple with the most votes wins the wedding. Well that time is now!!!!!!

The voting is officially open……………!!!!! It closes on the 12th February at 3pm

We had to delay our wedding date by 2 years due to unfortunate circumstances. To win this would mean that Karl and I could get married when we originally planned, in 12 months time.

I'm also not a fan. I think it's incredibly cheeky to ask a load of strangers to vote to help you get a free wedding. Not being rude but surely there were far more deserving stories than a bad case of mould. People have to postpone for terribly sad reasons such as bereavement and illness. A free wedding for a bad case of mould had me thinking this was a wind up!
