Default Veil removal!

Just chatting with Nessie and Amanda, and we were trying to work out when you should lift the veil? And who should lift it for you? BM, htb, yourself?

Answers on a postcard....

I don\'t think it really matters. It\'s who you want to do it.

But the big question is!!

Can we trust the men lifting off a dainty piece of material!

My h2b would probably yank the whole thing out!! and then go OOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSS!!

Default THE DEFINITIVE ANSWER!

Karen remembered seeing an answer to this question on a Confetti post and I\'ve tracked it down.

According to Tracey on 4th Jan 2002 (so blame her if its wrong!), the custom is :

If your husband lifts it, you belong to him
If you lift it you will wear the trousers in the marriage
If your father lift it, you will be tied to your family
If a friend/BM does it - you\'ll have a equal management marriage.

Well, food for thought (or an argument ) here !!!

J xx

Cheers Jonathan,

So does everyone think that it should be lifted at the end of the ceremony before you kiss, or after you have walked down the isle?

My brother admitted to wife recently that he always let her have her own way - eventually!!

He said that it was to show who was boss that he said no for the first few weeks...:P

Thanks God Jonathan isn\'t like that - and God help my SIL - she was livid!!!!!!
