The DJ will probably be very offended if you did give him/her a playlist.

Give them a list of anything you don\'t want, guidance as to the era of music you want and leave it at that.

go to a website run by alaska jim, he does lists of tops 100 songs of all eras and styles, that will help give the DJ a really good idea of songs that you do like.

We are having mostly 60s/70s and loads of 80\'s music and Alaska Jim\'s lists are really good for helping to remember:tumble:

Like Karen we are telling the dj what we like and don\'t like and are giving a list of definite no-no\'s. Any good dj should be able to read an audience and should know what to play at these kind of occassions when you get people of various ages.

The DJ for our wedding was brilliant. He said we could either give him a list of our top ten faves or we could give him every single song for the evening!!

anyhow, we\'ve decided to give him a playlist of about 25 songs and we\'re going to ask him to read a dedication with some of these songs to friends, family members etc.

I heard that you don\'t get to spend as much time as you would like to with guests on the day, so I though this would make them feel more a part of it.

E.g, We are family or Our house for my old uni house mates.. that\'s as far as I\'ve got for now!!! doh!
