Default Oh God it isn\'t fair Pt II!

I really didn\'t want a tiara, but I\'ve found something I really like? What\'s wrong you say? Well, at £120 it\'s over a third of what my dress is costing!!! :o

http://www.janieangel.co.uk/

It\'s the Sparkler tiara.

I\'m just going to sit in the corner and be poor. :(

Bev,

I found a reasonbly priced tiara company (i saw their work at the NEC wedding show!).

They can make anything you like too. Why don\'t you send the photo of the one you picked out and see if she can give you a quote?

bet it more than halves the price.

Bev

I could make that for you. For a fraction of the price they are charging.

Straberry Toppings are meant to be great - loads of people on confetti have raved about them.

What does everyone think of that one? 007 is the number btw. I\'m really nor sure that I\'m a tiara person, but if I had it made I could aways have the strands made a little shorter so that it wasn\'t so tall. Hmmm. . .

Hi,

I like it a lot Bev, but I\'ve seen quite a few similar ones around and most are about £50-60..

I reckon ST would do it for about £40 (but don\'t quote me on that).

Karen - I\'d love to have a go at making one, but I couldn\'t find the supplies..I can just about make websites though!!

Maybe we should join forces and go into business. You create the Website and I\'ll do the jewellery.

Karen, I too, may be able to throw some work your way!! I saw a gorgeous comb in virgin bride yesterday (don\'t want a tiara really) that just had long gold sparkly bits on it sticking out at funny angles, anyway, the point is, I reckon if you knew what you were doing you could make it for significantly less than the £77 being charged!!
Wiffle.....:rolleyes::tumble:

If you find a pic of it or something similar. Send it to me and I\'ll see what I can do.

Sorry. Have not got any piccies as yet apart from the pics on a topic on this website.

Only just starting on the Tiara front really. Been making necklaces and earrings etc for about 5 years though.

I bought some little crystal type thingies for my hair in hobbycraft yesterday! They are pale blue and each attached to a separate strand of wire. I intend to take them to the hairdressers when I go for my practice and ask him to try and get them in. (I\'m wearing my hair up somehow)

And at £1.99, I don\'t even care if I use them or not. Complete bargain!

(Maybe they\'re not meant for your hair?! Who cares!:lol::lol: )

oooohhh bev thats really nice. i like those hair slide thingies aswell very class! :D

however i do think £120 for the Tiara is a bit on the expensive side , especially when your only gonna wear it for 1 day!!

let us know what you decide

As light diversion from the subject, but it is about tiaras. I was mosying around BHS For Less (or something like that) at the Freeport in Castleford which is the Bhs discount place, and they were selling tiaras for £5!! Seemed fairly nice, nothing special. Not bad if you\'re on a reeeeeaaaaaallllll tight budget.

God, I feel so feminine joining in this thread . I must go and do something macho, like shoot a small furry animal. I\'m sure I saw the cat around somewhere ......:saint:

I went late night shopping and popped into Claires Acc\'s like eveyone keeps saying.

Bought 6 little crystally flowers that twist into your hair - like those in the photos above - for £3!!!

BMs ain\'t getting them though. I\'ve decided to keep them cos they\'re pretty..

Well.... it is my day afterall...
