Default Final fitting today!!

hi!

Well, this is it. I'm off for my last dress fitting today. WITH MY MUM!!

I don't think she'll like my dress. I'm still not sure what I think of it. I'm not even sure I'll still fit in it!!

So wish me luck!

We're then off to Knightsbridge to look for my mum's wedding outfit. I'm looking forward to this part the most.

Mel

Morning Mel!

I was really worried that my mum wouldn't like my dress as i have gone for a big dress when i showed her she didn't seem particulary enthralled but as Lo said to me that it is lovley and she said so and i love it so tough!

Hope everything goes okay and that you manage to find your mum an outfit.

OMG Mel,

Has your mum not seen it before????

Wow! I'm sure she'll love it and you'll have a lovely day trawling through Knightsbridge.

Have a good day.

Dawn

Have fun Mel! Let us know if you find anything nice in Knightsbridge for your mum - my mum now doesn't like her outfit and wanst to get another one! She can't find anything in the traditional stores (not 'mumsy' at all, so Jaques Vert etc are all no good). More aggro than finding my flippin dress.

Hi,

I did go dress hunting with my mum, but her tastes are really different to mine and she kept trying to make me get the dresses she liked.

My mum likes the full works and more! Whereas I wanted something pretty and simple.

There's not much I can do about what she thinks now, but it would be nice if she likes it because it might help me do away with some of my doubts.

I hate making decisions..

Hope you have a good day Mel!

I'm sure you're mum will absolutely love your dress.

My mum wanted me to have the full works, but as you know mine is very simple, and when she saw me in it, she cried!

Ness

PS:- Let us know how you get on!

woohooo!!

She liked it muchly... am sooooo relieved.

The dress fit beautifully and is ready to take home now. Its staying in the shop until Claire and I collect it a week on Sat (she's taking it home to hang it out of Ben's way).

Tried some ace hats on with my mum! She looked really cool in the head pieces with loads of feathers sticking up. If you can visualise what I mean.

No luck with outfits though..

Glad it all went well, and it's FABBY that your mum liked your dress! I was worrying about that when I tried mine on with mum, and she had been the one to choose the dress but hadn't seen it in the Emerald Green!!!!

Good Luck in finding an outfit for your mum!

Hiya.

Thanks, everyone. You're all so ace!

I did get my new veil - I'm so pleased i swapped for the satin edged one it makes a HUGE difference.

I took my hoop and veil back last night (forgot to unpack them actually... doh!)

Everything's coming together finally. I just have to sort out the smaller details and gifts, also checking up on everything... can't think of much else - it just a matter of getting this show on the road now..

3 weeks, 2 days to go...

(faints)

Mel,

Did you try sitting down in it and all that jazz?

Glad you feel better about wearing it now - know that you were a tad worried about crimps and creases in the wrong places and gaping bits.

Really, really pleased for you.
