I really hope so - I don't need it to be perfect, but no rain and a bit of sun (well ok, I'm addicted to sunlight so alot of sun would be good ) would be great. It's times like this I really miss Australia... I think we'll definately end up retiring there.

Yup, how can I forget. I really miss it now, although I have freedoms and beneits here that I could never have there, so I suppose it all pans out in the end.
I'm scanning the weather all this week so I possibly have SOME idea what it's gonne be like on the day of our wedding next year (a year on friday OMG how the time flys!)

Mark rather likes it here, although I would imagine he too misses the luvely weather.
Diane - I found Brisbane to be rather a quiet city, and a little on the boring side. Now to be fair this is from someone that has lived all their life in London; if I was from somewhere quiet I probably wouldn't have felt the same way. I also cannot drive and public transport is almost non-existent (again, by London standards) so that meant I had to rely on Mark for everything. If I were older and had mates there I think I would have enjoyed it more, and I still think we will end up going back there, perhaps in our 40's, but for now it isn't the place for me.
I'm not surprised you found Bne quiet after London, even people outside Qld call it a big country town. I think you would find Melbourne more your style - always something to do and somewhere to go - I found it more like the UK and Europe. Mind you, the weather also is not so great, but we do have nice summers sometimes! I think you'd feel more at home there. Public transport in Melbourne is much better - trams, trains etc - very frequent, easy and efficient. Lots of people in Melbourne don't have cars but everyone in Bne seems to!
If you ever come back, you should spend some time in Melbourne, test it out for size. I am from Qld and I really love it down here - so much to do, and you can eat food from any country in the world (yum.........)
By the way, it is windy, raining and hailing here, and bloody freezing (?3 degrees, 6pm)
