What is a 'petit four'? Its available after the meal and I havent got a clue what it it. Can anyone help??

Traditionally, it's a little sweet of some description - like a marzipan thing, or a florentine or a fudgy thing. it's a posher alternative to mints with coffee!!!

I worry about me that i know that....

They are divine when you get freshly made ones. Usually little posh cakes, chocs, fudge, biccies. Just to go with the coffee.

I'm hungry now! I want a 'grand four' now!!
