My dress is in at last - Wedding Forum

Finally!

I was told at the start it would be March, when it got April and still no word i called them. I was then told it would be in May/June time and got a call today to say it is in

I dont know when to go see it, i just have this horrible feeling that it wont fit and am dreading trying it on. I am really excited about finally seeing it and knowing it is mine tho

That's great news!

It's an odd feeling, as you know that you really want to try the dress on and know it's yours but it does feel odd, and there's the massive panic about it not fitting etc! I'm sure things will be great though and make sure you tell us how it all goes!

That's great news!!! Don't worry about the dress not fitting - I bet it does. And even if it doesn't, you probably having changed in size that dramatically since you ordered it? If the worst comes to the worst, they can work miracles.

So - go see it!! ASAP!! Cos I want to know what its like!

Hi Lynn

How exciting? That’s great news! Don’t worry about the fitting, these shops know what they’re doing and it will fit you, you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised and it may well be too big, but again they’re experts and will make it fit you like a glove.

Mine’s due in either at the end of this month or beginning of next. When are you having your fittings? I’ve got my first a month before and then final one a week before.

Karen, i am not too sure what is happening as far as fittings go. The woman who called was pretty vague. I was litterally just about to leave for work when she called.

The conversation went a bit like.......

"just called to let you know your dress is in"
"oh thats great"
"ok then, bye...."

I was expecting a little more than that lol. To be honest i didnt really like the shop but tried loads of other shops to see if they had the dress i wanted and was eventually told by a shop owner 30 miles away that that shop is well known, and that the owner had told the suppliers that if anyone else was to get the range then she would stop doing it and would lose them a lot of money so they stuck with her. Whether it is true or not i dont know, but it just meant i had to go there if i was to get that dress i wanted.

I am going to pop in tomorrow and see it and see what they say about fittings etc will let you all know how it goes
