Question Hair with no veil

Hi all,

I need some help.

I have decided to have my hair down - it is quite long, just past sholders and the front is shorter in layers to my chin. The problem is I don't know what to do now as the one thing H2B is inisting on is no veil.

I am worried with not having an up do (I have tried it and I look terrible with my hair off my face, it has to stay down) it I won't look very bridal.

Any ideas? Do you think a tiara on its own will look okay? I have thought about flowers and thought maybe just one behind my ear - but know I will throw it away after an hour because it will annoy me, and don't like the idea of a mass load of flowers shoved on my head.

I really don't know what to do so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I think that a tiara on it's own will look fine you may have to get a slightly Bolder one that if you were having your hair up but nope i think that it would be fine

Thank you,

My problem is I don't think much to the ears I was given so I like to keep them nicely covered up by my hair. Which is a shame because I really like the little daisies. Very pretty.

Why oh why is there always a part of the body which we got that we are not impressed by. I even tried the whole tiara full hair do and it looked terrible and gave me a head ache - the tiara and pins weigh quite alot and I am not used to having my tied up.

I think I might go for a tiara on its own - I guess I will have to try some out. Thank you Cupid for giving me a bit more confidence. I just worry because I have a very simple dress and don't want to look underdressed if you know what I mean.

Hello

I'm in a similiar position. I have very long hair and don't like it off my face and my ears stick out. However, having spoken to my hairdresser, I can have part of my hair kind of draped around my face so that it's not too severe and he's also suggested toupe tape to keep my ears flat to my head. Problem solved. I'm not having a tiara, but have decided instead on pearl hair jewels. In fact they are pearls on a wire that I got very cheaply from a craft shop. My hairdresser is going to put my hair up in pin curls and then bend the wire around each curl and all you'll see is the pearls.

The best thing to do is to have a chat with a hairdresser and ask for one that is experienced in putting hair up, most hairdressers have some experience in this.

Good luck!

K xx

Okay, I think I understand what you are looking for! I'm off to try and find a photo on the web, but how about just pulling 2 thin strips of hair off your face (like the 2nd layer in the piccie) and tying it back.

Then you could use a lovely tiara to sit towards the front of your head (I know what I mean, but I don't think I'm describing it very well!!)

It would be so simple yet stunning!

My hair was shoulder length when I got married and I also end up having the harshest face known to man if I scrape it off my face.

My hairdresser was absolutely fabulous.

She took half the hair up and left the rest of it down. However, she also left the very front of my hair down so that it framed my face.

The hair that she had taken up was then put into a fancy 'bun' and she weaved it in and out of itself so that my tiara would fit round it.

Unfortunately I was wearing a veil so you can't see it very well in my pictures, but I was really pleased with it.

Is that the sort of thing you'd be looking to do????

Dawn

P.S I'm sure that didn't make much sense, but I hope you got the gist of it.

Thank you guys.

I think by the sounds of it I need to go see another hairdresser - the first one doesn't seem to have been much cop, and have another play.

Dawnie that sounds beautiful. I think I will have to take the ideas to a new hairdresser and see what they can come up with.

I am feeling much happier now
Thank you.

Hi, My hair sounds similar to yours, kind of layered around face but below shoulders at the back (almost sounds like i'm describig a mullet but am defiantly not)

I ave decided to have some front pieces brought of my face with tiara and veil, however I did try loads of options with my hairdresser and really liked hair down with a pretty tiara. If you want natural hair than I think that is lovely and can be as stunning. Just choose the right tiara. Love Donna

Hair with no veil looks better than veil with no hair!!!!
Relax you will look fab and noone will notice your ears!
Dont wear anything you will worry about. Wear what you are comfortable with

Just wanted to add that I'm planning to have my hair down with a tiara. I've seen quite a few pictures in magazines with this style and they all look nice so even if you have this I'm sure you'll look great. I think they look dressy enough, especially with your outfit. There is no point in having a style that you dont like or doesn't suit you just because you feel you should. - Well thats my opinion anyway!
