ive just made my favours , im not that adventurous to make anything else but i did enjoy doing the favours at 1/2 the price to the shops!!!isnt it amazing how much mark up things are!!!!???
you must be well tallented to make all that yourself ( i wouldnt have a clue how to do the bmaid dresses!!)
at least your wedding will be much more personal to you and everyone else gets to see all your hard work. 10 times better that buying things ready made!!
Well, if we do it h2b will be making favours (CD thingys). Place thingys will be those Ikea tealight jobbies. I\'m sure we\'ll be doing our own decs. Stationary - hmmm, I\'m undecided really. This is the thing - I\'m a trained artist and photographer; I can carve things out of large blocks of stone and know all the best ways to handle a stanley knife. But I am SOOOOOOOOOOO lazy it is unreal, and I\'m just not sure that I can be bothered to do \'em. I think it will come down to whether or not I find affordable staionary that we like. If not - then I\'ll have to resurrect the stanley knife. ;)
Well I found out yesterday that I have another item to add to my list! I\'ve just found out that my my best friend Sarah who is my MOH is pregnant :tumble: I\'m so pleased they have been trying for another baby since there Daughter kea was born 6 years ago.
I had already bought her dress a straight pale gold raw silk one, bloody typical eh!! so the chances of finding a maternity dress that co-ordinates with the others is zilch!! So I\'ll have to make her one, good job she\'s worth it!!!!!
Sorry guys but although I have piccies of tiara, I have no means of getting them online. However someone on another site has offered to put them online for me as I\'m thinking of offering my services (;)) to other B2B\'s who want tiaras at virtually cost price (mine cost £5 to make!!).
Actually, I think that the kind person who offered may also use this site...Is that you Clay??!!
Lynsey, you made BM dresses!! Oh i wish i was talented like that. I am having real probs finidng something for my BM\'s... dont suppose it helps when 2 of them live in jersey and dont know their dress size!!! :(
Yeh sizes usually help
I wouldn\'t say I was a dress maker or anything but I\'m not to bad going for the simple but elegant look :saint:!
Well can\'t have \'em upstaging me can I;)!
You\'ll have to let us see pics then Linsey, I am really stuck for mine. Like i said, 2 of mine dont even know there size. They live for sport and said the last time they wore a dress was at school. They live in the channel islands so i dont see them too often. They keep putting off going to the shops and trying stuff on so i can get an idea of sizes etc. And as for the other one (my sister) she keeps thinking everything i pick up is too plain (i dont think she has quite grasped the fact that she is not meant to be centre of attention lol) :?::rolleyes:
I will try and get a pic of the dress that I have finished. I didn\'t have any trouble choosing mine they are aged 7,6+5!! So they get what they are given  My MOH dress won\'t be started till the new year now and that will have to be a maternity design, so it won\'t be anything elaborate!!
