Okay well you know last week we had a major cash flow crisis as my job is not permanant and due to my redundancy i took a 4 grand drop in wages.. well my parents we thought were going to contribute it then eneded up that they can give us anything and the wedding budgets we had done was going to cost us £10K sooo my dad suggested that we go abroad - this is something that we had looked into and thought no because my dad would get upset sooo we looked around and have found a nice deal in St Lucia for half the price of getting hitched here... we should be able to get back most of the depost's made because of the fact that they have a year to resell and it is a popular date...
That's fab........so....let's here all the St Lucia plans and see the pictures from the brochures..............Are you going to have a summery dress...get married in a bikini on a beach...have a steel band at the reception....will any of your family be going.....
We fly out on May 4th and we have requested to get married at 1pm on 8th May.
As far as we know none of our family will be coming but they have given us their blessing to do this and we are going to look into holding a party when we get back.
I am going to speak to my dress shop today to change from my BIG dress to a simpler number - am now on mad diet apart from Pizza last night before we go!!
Not sure about Steel band but get romantic meal together and breakie in bed the following day....
What a dream wedding. I think a lot of people really want to do something like this, but feel constrained by family etc. This will really be a day you remember.
I am so glad that everything has worked out ok for you both through all the difficulties.
Plus, you will not have to do any organising - you can just leave it up to the hotel.

I know - no organising - mind you kind of feel lost now that i don't have to worry about invites and Favours.... just got to think about my dress & Dave's suit and then Dave's ring and holiday cloths then we are sorted!!
it looks fantastic claire, i think i m,ay be suffering from the green eyed monster, why didn't me and mike just go and do it like that, i think it would have been a much better idea
