Smile My dress is being shipped!
I just got a mail from Bridesave (where I ordered my wedding dress and BM dress) to say my dress is in and they are shipping it to me today!

Hooray! Warm fluffy feelings!

It is so long since I ordered it I was starting to get a bit worried (even though they said it would not arrive till the end of July, so they are a bit early with it).

am sooooo excited now!

Wow!!! you sound very chuffed - and so you should be!!

Did you find it still worked out cheaper even with customs charges etc? Or did you not do it for that reason? Just curious because I thought about ordering from abroad too.

I wasn't brave enough though...

I did order my flowers and invites from the US though, so wasn't a complete chuck.

LET US KNOW WHEN IT ARRIVES!!!!!!!!!

Wedding dresses in Holland seem to be much more expensive than in the UK. So my first choice was to get one in the UK, but that would have been so much hassle. So in the end I decided that buying online was the way forward. I have been terrified that they would ship it late or something, but they are sending me the UPS number so I can track it.

The only worry I have now is that it turns out to be completely wrong, but I have a friend at work who is very nifty with the sewing machine who is taking it up for me, and will do any other alterations I want.

It actually wound up being less than half the price for my wedding dress than it would have been if I got it in Holland, so even if I get stung for customs charges it will still end up being cheaper.

So......fingers crossed that it turns up in one piece! I will let you know when it gets here.
