Well, I am not having a veil. I wasn't even having a proper wedding dress to start with, but I just happened to fall in love with a dress that only comes in white.
Mine is a very informal wedding, and I am going to be on a boat for most of it, so a veil just didn't seem appropriate.
If I was having one, it would depend on what kind of wedding it was as to whether I would wear it over my face or not. If it was a very traditional church wedding then I probably would, but otherwise I don't think so.
So far I am not having one. Although I tried one on in the shop and I felt really "bridal"!!! I didn't actually put it down over the front so I don't know what it would look like, but I think if I wore one I would just have it hanging down the back when I walk in.
I think my mum objects to me having one because we are not getting married in a church and she is quite religious. I am not sure why she objects though! Maybe it is because she didn't want one at her own wedding and just had a bonnet!

I was not going to have one, but then the woman in the dress shop gave me one for free which is gold to match part of my dress I thought that was realy nice of her and so i will be wearing one.
Am keeping it a surprise, H2B does not know I have it. Am not going to wear it over my face as I just think it would be a bit too much for me personally and our surroundings. I think if we were going for a church wedding though, I probably would.
I'm having mine over my face for the ceremony and when the vows have been said, my new husband (oooer!) will lift it and kiss me (ensures my face won't look quite so red to the guests too! ) I'll be keeping it on until just after the first dance or maybe just before it and then it'll be off!

Love isn't about finding someone perfect....it's about learning to love an imperfect person....perfectly.
I'm having a veil and a church wedding but NOT having it over my face, the main reason being I don't like things over my face
I tried the veil on with my dress and it looked lovely and finished off the dress hence I decided I would have it but not wear it over my face!

Knowing my luck, if I had a veil over my face, I probably wouldn't be able to see where I was going too well, and then trip over my dress and land on my face or something! No, don't think I'll be going down that route...
well i am going the whole hogg and having a veil and will wear it over my face the only snag is i can't find one , my cousin has a pale gold veil and i am going to try that but idealy i want a gold veil, as my dress is gold

when I kiss you goodnight I will
hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank
God for you, and ask him for nothing,
My veil is being made by h2b's aunt and although I wasn't going to wear it over my face at first h2b asked me if I would as he wanted to lift it to give me our first kiss as man & wife.
