Well of course - I would go for Amsterdam over everything else!
I don't really know how much it costs to organise a wedding in the UK, but from what I have picked up on MGW I think it is definately a lot cheaper in the Netherlands. If you want any info, PM me and I will send you everything you will need.
Why not do a Paul McCartney & get married over here? The church at the end of the Garvaghy Road is probably available for bookings in July, but you may have a bit of a problem getting there.....
Sorry...bit of warped Northern Irish humour.......

I'd be tempted to say somewhere warm and relaxing, but since I'm going to Vegas for part of my honeymoon, I'll be biased and say VEGAS!!!!!! The romance of it.........my mother would have forgiven me for eloping if I'd have been married by Elvis (she LOVES him!!!)

I'm sure I posted on this thread already, my posts keep disappearing..!
Anyway, I said go get married by Elvis in Vegas! You know you want to...
Went to Vegas last year expecting to absolutely hate it and I loved it - the shows - the massive hotels - the absolutely wonderful little wedding chapels - the showyness of it all.
We didn't even gamble, but between shows and wonderful restaurants and attractions and visiting Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam etc we managed to completely fill 5 days there.
It is the most amazing place! You could easily spend 10 days there and still not see everything.
Also, the weather is pretty much guaranteed to be HOT HOT HOT!!!
However Stace, it's really up to you and a very personal thing - but hope my over zealous Vegas report helps though!
ALLI - When you get to Vegas my top tip is to get tickets to see the Blue Man Show in the Luxor hotel (pyramid shaped one at the end of the strip) - it's absolutely bloody hilarious!

It would be so amazing and after the wedding you'd have a fab honeymoon too! I have never been but have always wanted to go there, I know people who have been and it sounds great.
is a lot of fun, and your family will have plenty to do outside of the wedding. You can even do a theme wedding there--Renaissance England, pirates, southern, etc. They do it all. Just a note though, it is VERY cold there in the winter. It does not rain much, but that desert is quite chilly from about late Oct to April or May. Beyond that, you'll probably have nice weather, and in the summer, HOT weather.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
I got married in Vegas 2 months ago & I say go for it...It was fab
We got married at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, by Elvis!! The people were so nice & couldn't have been more helpful. Before we went I came across this website http://www.lasvegasukonline.com/ and emailed the webmaster, who is a woman called Alison Johnston (webmaster@lasvegasukonline.com).
She was really lovely & arrange it all for us, and when she was in Vegas the couple weeks before she went to double check everything at the chapel...excellent, I'd definitely recommend it.
