OK Questions to ask needed for tonight - Wedding Forum

We have provisionally booked a photographer and even though we have seen his work in his studio (which is totally amazing), we have not met him. He is calling me tonight at home so we can talk through a few things, and so far I have thought of the following:

1. What are the cost of re-prints

2. I want to meet him and see photos of the venue (he has been there before. Down side is that I cant take a day off to visit him and he is booked up every weekend until November with weddings so will have to give him a deposit and then meet him.... he did a friends wedding and she said he was excellent. Should I be worried?)

3. I am going to point out that we are booking him and him only, have heard a few horror stories on here where someone checked the booking and the photographer was double booked but said his friend could cover her wedding..

4. We are having a 'Story Book Collection' am going to ask how this works. i.e. will he go to hotel and see me, take pics, go to home see H2B, take pics then go to the venue?

5. How long does he stay for, until wedding breakfast? After breakfast etc.

6. Does he need to go to the venue and look about before the day (doubt it as he has been there before but thought I would ask)

Can you guys help me with anything else? I'd really appreciate it!

Seems pretty comprehnsive to me!

We never met the bloke who was going to do our photography but i have since found that he was very good - we only looked at his web site and spoke over the phone to him...

does he provide an album and do you get a choice?
Photo's onto CD?

I know which album we would get as we saw that in his studio and could choose. Will ask about the CD though thanks!

Little thing, but ask if he wants a meal. I think it is protocol to provide one for the photographer, but you may as well confirm it.

Ok thanks I will do. We have planned on him having the meal with us anyway, if he only stays until the beginning of the w.b I'd better ask if he wants a snack or something.
