I am probably going to do my own if my nails look crap a week or so before the wedding!
I wear them when my own nails are short (I hate having short nails!) and then when I take the false nails off they are long! Providing you then keep nail varnish and a nail conditioner on them they seem to be fine.. I know that you shouldn't wear false ones all the time because it makes your nails very weak.

Hiya all
I am a fully qualified nail technician and i PROMISE you that your nails will not be damaged by having enhancements applied (if your technician is fully trained that is) There should be no contact between the files and the natural nail plate and therefore no damage. In actual fact, if you dont have the best nails in the world, enhamncements can help them grow (underneath) so not only do you have lovely nails in the meantime, your own nails are bennifitting (spelling!) The ones now are so good that they dont look like falsies at all and in respect of them falling off after a week - thats c*!p!! You will need infills ecery 2-3 weeks depending on how fast your nails grow and of course the odd one will fall off or break but they can pretty much withstand anything your nails can.
Hope ive helped a little and if you have anymore questions you know where i am

Sorry Anna I dont know of anywhere in specific in that area but i do know that if they do Creative nails then they are probably good and reputable. Im sur if you look in the Yellow Pages there would be a list and you could call a couple to find out who trains them. I would say though to book NOW as i know they get booked quite far in advance (well, they do here) and you dont want to be dissapointed. With respect to having a trial run, i would say no.. purley because youll need infills before the big day and its another cost on top. Id say try and get booked in for maybe 2 or 3 days before - enough time to get used to them but not enough to break them!! They will also hopefully last the Honeymoon that way too and you wouldnt need infills till the week later - depending on how fast your nails grow.
Let me know how it all goes

Anna
I have my nails professionally done every four weeks and everything Paula says is true. My nails were terrible before and now they are great. I always have a permanent french manicure done to mine. My lady, as I'm sure Paula does, will do nail art as well, so for my wedding I'm thinking of having a wacky design!
If you are going on honeymoon they will look fab for that too!
My friend has hers done as well and I have a picture of her nails (not specifcally her nails but holding my kitten) which show them really well. Email me if you want to see the photo.
Go for it!

The kitten is nearly 6 weeks old. My friend is hand-rearing her and when she is 8 weeks old I'll be bringing her home. H2B has competition for my affections now!
I get my nails done at I Love Nailz in Reading. Highly recommended. Drop us an email if you want their address and tel no.
Thanks for posting the piccie Niddy - struggle with the technology!

Awwww..... what a gorgeous kitten!! I want one!!!!
Your nails look fab. I am getting mine done for the wedding. I used to always have them done, but it is a bit pricey for me to keep doing it full time.
