Talking My Wedding Scrolls!

These arrived this morning! They are to go on the tables at the reception.

The verse reads:

This day for us is special
A time beyond compare
The joy we feel deep in our hearts
We're glad our guests can share

Your presence here with us
Means more than words can say
Please keep this small momento
To remind you of our day

They are provided with little gold rings to make into scrolls! And have our names and wedding date at the bottom I think they are perfect!

I think scroll invites are so romantic. The ones from Celebrations come with special carry boxes etc and reply slips. They're so lovely.

I'm cross stitching my invites though as our motif is a red heart in a gold box but I would have gone for scrolls if I weren't making them!

Bianca! That is GORGEOUS!!! absolutely stunning!!

Ooohhh, what a good idea. I've also been thinking of something different for invitiations. I'm going to have a peek at those websites as well.

Beth, you are well brave for cross stitching your invites - sounds like a big project!

I love the verse. It's so simple yet so lasting. Some'll think it's corny but I fell in love with it the minute I read it

I adore cross-stitch. Stitching the invites isn't too big a job! I'm only going to put our names and dates with a small motif in the middle. I reckon I'll get 2 done a night easy!

I'm making the evening invites but not cross-stitching them Love anything crafty!

Oh good I am not the only mad one!

Its really enjoyable but its taking so long I can spend 2 hours at a time sewing and hardly get anywhere. Did it take you long to do? Mind you, I suppose it is only my first try, maybe they get easier.

That's gorgeous!

A year I hope I get it finished my Christmas. My mum bought me a brilliant medieval dragon one for my birthday and it is huge! I want to make a start on that and then hang it in our dinning room (we have a bit of a medieval theme going on! We have 2 replica swords and a shield hanging on the wall, and all the furniture is oak)

Wow! That must have taken you hours and hours!

I have only bought 2 myself (got 2 more for my birthday so they are stacking up!) but i got them from here:

http://www.past-impressions.co.uk/

They seemed quite cheap (i think) and the service was good.
