Default Hiring mens outfits from Pronuptia

I really don't know what to do here. Pronuptia advised me when I bought my dress that I should get Dave to order his outfit ASAP (didn't think to ask why since I was too busy cooing over my dress). At any rate, over the last 5 months he's lost 3 stone and plans on losing quite a bit more. If he orders a suit just now it will be falling off him by next July The Best Man is also planning on trying to diet too so he'll probably have the same dilemma. Any words of wisdom??

Chris and his men wore pronuptia suits and although Chris ordered his in plenty of time, I don't think the lads ordered theirs much more than a month or so early.

Be warned though, the boys were supposed to have different trousers to CHris but there was a cock up and one of them ended up with an identical outfit to his, and he wasn't best pleased! Small but improtant. So if you're ordering from more than one store, make sure they all know exactly what you want each of them to wear!

Steve ordered his a year beforehand, but they only wanted to know what design he was looking at so that they could have plenty in stock.

He was actually measured up for them about a month beforehand - I thought that this was normal procedure - perhaps you could check with them.

Good luck

We didn't use pronuptia, but a local company. We booked the style about 8 months before the day, and all the men went and got measured about 3-4 weeks before hand.

As someone else said, these companies just like to make sure they have the designs in stock etc.

We didn't get our suits from pronuptia we got ours from Youngs suit hire, but as everyonelse has said we ordered what type of suits we were wanting and the a month before they were measured up except the little boy wh owas measured up two weeks before.

I wouldn't have thought that you would have to book particular sizes - just styles but you could check this point with them.

Sorry have to say pronuptia messed pretty much everything up so I would advise against using them. (ben's trousers too short, step-father's kilt and FIL's jacket went awol!, also messed up the booking/measuring up so we had to chase up loads.

but maybe we were just unucky.

The only good thing is that they redeemed themselves by couriering the awol items to us on the day of the wedding.

But the STRESS!!

Pronuptia in Bristol have been quite good so far - they remembered my name when I went in to make my final choice of dress and I'd only been there once before! I'll check back with them sometime this week to see what their procedure is with the suits...

Thanks everyone!!
