They both sound pretty good from what I can tell.

We\'re probably going to do without - budget restrictions mainly, but we have friends that I studied with that should be able to do the job for us (she says hopefully ). If all else fails I\'ll be taking my camera anyway so I\'ll be doing the evening pics!

We were thinking of finding out how much it would cost to hire someone to do maybe 15-20 pics, just the official ones if you know what I mean - do you think we\'d get a good deal seeing as it\'s a Friday? :?:

Our photographer is charging £525 for 35 photographs including the album.

We\'re also using the videographer from his company which is costing us £425 (I think).

Bev- All the photographers I got quotes from didn\'t offer any reductions for mid-week weddings, in fact nothing I have had quotes for does :(
Begining to think it\'s an urban myth!!

Forgot to say our photographer supplies piccies with an album as well and you just pay £75 deposit and the balance when you pick you piccies which is a bit of an ease on pre-wedding finances ( I\'m refusing to go into any sort of debt for it)

Hmmm, thats a definate bummer - I think suppliers are cottoning on to this \"lets get married in the middle of the week to save money\" deal. buggers.

And I agree - I want to get married, but debt for a wedding ceremony is the silliest thing I have heard of.

Sounds brilliant to me!!:o
We\'re paying £500 for 30 photos in an album. That seemed to be about the going rate for us though. If I\'d found anything cheaper, believe me, I would have taken it!!

Yeah, i think it is just the area tho. Things seem so much cheaper up in Scotland, esp the east coast where i am. I would die if i had to pay anything like some of the quotes i have seen ppl mention for various things. :o

Oh good, i have done something right lol. He actually quoted me £375. I said i didnt think it would be a big wedding as we are sending quite a few invites to family in Jersey but unsure if they will all come. So he said how about £325, i was going to pay £375 anyway so i thought great.....then he said so thats £325 for the 60 prints and the album. (exactly the same as the £375 package, but for £50 less) Needless to say i took it :D
