Were off to see the venue! - Wedding Forum

Mark, my mum, dad and me are all off to see the Runnymede again next Saturday. Its my birthday and everyone is off work so i thought id kill two birds with one stone - and itll make me happy!!

There is a wedding that day so we get to see how the room is decorated (well, obviously not to colours etc but we get an idea of how it can be set out) and set up. This is the 1st time my parents would have seen it properly as they were on holiday when we booked it but they have been there before so they know its a really good hotel.

I cant wait to see it again as i just fell in love with it the last time and im so pleased we managed to book it - i love it

I am sure your parents will love the venue as much as you do!

We went to see our venue all set up for a wedding about 3 weekends ago, and it gives you a really good idea of what to expect.

Oooh, the Runnymede is lovely, have a great time Paula.

I remember going to see my venue all set up for another wedding, and they had balloons. I decided there and then that I was NOT going to have them!!! It made the room look too busy!

Anyway, waffle over, have a great time, your mum and dad will LOVE it!

It's definitely good to see the room set up for a wedding, they look totally different to when they're set up for a conference. We went to our venue on Karenl's wedding day so had a nose at her set up - it looked really beautiful and gave us a good idea of how our bits and pieces and colours would fit in with the layout.

My mum hasn't seen our venue yet...... I really must get my bum in gear and get her over there to see it

Oh, I was so chuffed when I saw my place set up for a wedding - it looked great! I'm sure you'll have a great time, and remember to pester the staff loads - if they're really helpful, that's a good sign!!!!

I shall ignore the ladies on C******** who claimed my venue was impersonal and crap.....
