Unhappy Powdermills - they are not being very nice

Hello,

We have booked Powdermills Hotel in Battle, which looks lovely and we were really excited about having our reception there. The only thing is when I went recently to show my bridesmaid around they were really rude - and obviously didn't care I was about to spend thousands of pounds there! What do you think I should do???? What a worry!!

What a cheek!

How were they rude to you?

Have you paid a deposit? Everyone has bad days, maybe it was one of those for them. Still no excuse though.

Thats not on. Id go back and see if their attitude was different this time round as, like Biance said, everyone has bad days. If it still didnt impress you, id seriously consider changing your venue if you could find somewhere you liked as much. and hadntpaid your deposit

Its a big day for you and you dont want to be worrying about the attitude of the staff that are going to be there. They are meant to help you, not cause more stress and upset.

It's not acceptable for them to be rude to you, did they know that you were showing your friend around as you have booked your reception there?

Like the others say, go back again and see how you get on, if you haven't paid them any money and you are having doubts then maybe you should have a look at alternative venues but I'm sure they were 'off' because they were busy or having a crisis.

Let us know how you get on.

Who exactly was rude? Cos I would ring the manager or wedding planner there and complain - say that you are now considering taking your wedding somewhere else! The last thing you need is poor service on your big day.....
