Default Colour schemes

Hi everyone,

H2B decided that he wanted to wear a special waistcoat with his morning suit and the rest of the blokes can wear the standard grey waistcoat. I said that once he had chosen his waistcoat I would pick a colour out from it and use that as my colour scheme (am not too mad on colours for weddings - like the "lots of white" look)

Anyway, the waistcoat he has chosen has a gold pattern on it with a tiny blue fleck. It really is beautiful and he does look gorgeous in it but I wasn't really keen on blue as my colour scheme.

Has anybody else used blue as a colour scheme and does anyone have ideas. The one thing that makes me nervous is that you don't really get blue flowers so florists/cake decorators tend to use loads of blue ribbon which I hate. Plus blue cravats will not really go with the grey waistcoats on the other guys.

Any ideas on how to get around the blue flowers/cravats problem?

Cheers
Susie

A friend of mine just got married and her colour scheme was based around blue. I can't remember what her husband's outfit etc was like, but I'll ask her tomorrow and see if she can give you any tips.

Apparantly white is very trendy at the mo. Why not incorporate little bits of blue (napkins; tealights?) but mostly stick to white white white?

A friend of mine got married recently and she had blue bridesmaids dresses. Her theme was blue and gold so her flowers were a yellow colour.
