Hi Mella
We had groovy purple with a hint of in flowers (pink roses). If you go to www.geocities.com/thebarrons2002/official you will be able to see a couple of pics, unfortunately the colour has not come out too well in those pictures though. It was a really brought purple definitely a groovy purple.
The page is nowhere near finished yet though!

Hi Helen,
Yes it is more of a deep burgundy / wine colour than red.
I was so pleased when we went to see our venue the other week, it was set out for a wedding and the chairs they use are gold framed with deep burgundy / wine coloured cushions!

My colour theme is purple and silver. The bridesmaid's dress is a dark Cadbury kind of purple, and so will some of the flowers be. There are lots of other things in purple that I couldn't get quite the right shade, so I am embracing that by naming the tables after different shades of purple, so that it looks like I meant it!
My only problem is that I keep needing more tables, and am having trouble coming up with enough shades!

My current shades of purple, and I would be very grateful if someone could suggest any more, are: Royal Purple, Violet, Indigo, Lilac, Mauve, Cadbury, Amethyst and Lavender. I have considered various fruits and vegetables such as Plum, Aubergine and Blackcurrant. I could maybe have Ribena
I am sure that another shade will come to me when I least expect it.

Stace, your idea is quite stunning in its obviousness (is that a word?) I knew that there was an obvious shade that I was missing, but I just couldn't quite put my finger on it! It would certainly confuse the people who were sat at that table as to what shade Groovy was!

I have no idea what my colours are going to be...........they were going to be ivory, yellow and orange. The orange was going to be in the flowers. However i have yet to find yellow material for bridesmaid dresses or yellow bridesmaid dresses that i like! So i am seriously thinking of changing my colour scheme.
