Now, as some of you know I have huge great plates of meat, so I\'ll probably end up wearing Doc Martens anyway but just incase I can actually find something to fit I just wondered what your opinions were about satin/fabric covered shoes as opposed to leather.
I am wearing fabric covered shoes. I needed something with a low heel as a) H2B is 2\" shorter than me and b) I live in trainers and docs all the time and could never walk in them anyway. My local wedding shop was selling off last seasons stock and i managed to get a pair of ivory satin shoes, with a 1 1/2\" heel for £15, so they will do me nicely. The way i see it ppl will really only see the toes and im not likely to wear them again, so i dont see the point in spending a fortune
I have to say the ones I like best have all been fabric with beading and stuff on . . . however as my footses are all wide and fat I\'m not holding out much hope for getting a pair like that. :(
Stolen from somewhere else, but, buy nice, wide, plain fabric shoes and stick your own beads/ crystals on them.
Apparently body crystals work quite well. That way, you don\'t have to spend the extortionate amount of money that is charged for wedding shoes, but you can still have glam toes!!:D
Hmmmm . . . got me thinking now . . . Swarovski do really good body crystals for about £10 or £15 - pricier than the average but they are stunning - would look great on shoes! Very good idea, I have to get a wriggle on with the shoes and the undies for when the dress comes!
I have just seen this mentioned on Confetti, but try www.office.co.uk They have a range of wedding shoes and there is one on there that I really like. It is the diamante sandal in oyster. Have a look and let me know what you think. Might be a good idea for all those with larger than average feet, because there isn\'t as much for them to squeeze into, although they are a tad high!
Those office heels are lovely, but very high!!
I think there\'s a limit to what I can do all day in!
I will probably end up with rainbow club two part satin shoes, but I haven\'t looked that closely ye, not until I\'ve finally bought a dress!
Thanks for that Jess - just had a look and they are probably a bit dainty for my great big hooves. I\'m a size 5 but very wide. :(
I really like the ones from the Rainbow Club but the only place they export to here is in bloomin\' Perth!! Thats sort of London to Cairo distance - Mark keeps saying \"I\'ll drive you down to Sydney (London to Glasgow)\" and as soon as I told him about the shop in Perth he said \"We are NOT going to Perth!\".
I\'ve found a store here that specialises on wedding shoes, but the pics I have are not promising - just have to hope they have something better in the store - all fingers and toes crossed for me please! :D
