Default Bridal Shower...........

I have found some info on bridal showers and really want this instead of a restaurant/pub crawl hen night. I was thinking of hiring a hotel suite or sml function room, having a dinner or buffet and playing silly games and dancing and having a drink, all with a theme.

Has anyone got any ideas how i can sort this out? I get married in 81 days so need somthing sorted asap! Im in essex and dont want a night away.

Thanks

C x

Hi Carly,

I'm an Essex type myself.

I think that Friern Manor in Dunton do 'party nights' where a group of you can go along and they organise games and bitzas, however it wont just be you and your party there - there will be lots of others around too.

What about something like one of the rooms in the Orsett Hall or even the Thurrock hotel.

They'll both provide a lovely dinner in a private room and you can just prepare the games yourself.

My final hit in my area would be the Moathouse just off the A13 which has function rooms where you can arrange a dinner.

Good luck!

Ooh, soz - just thought of another place actually - my husbands parents organised for his 18th birthday party to take place in the private room at the top of the Bell Inn, Horndon.

It's a nice swanky joint and the food is absolutely to die for.

They don't mind having disco's there and i'm sure a few party games wouldn't go amiss either.

Oooh, good idea!

I believe I'm off to a nice country village for the day, with a meal and a lock in - would that be a good idea?

I have stayed at the Bell Inn and its lovely. Their rooms are fantastic (bedrooms - didnt see much else but we wont go into that ). They are themed, very nice. The food was good too.

Have also stayed in the Moathouse and Orsett Hall, all would be great for what you are thinking of doing.
