You are never gonna believe this but had CBM round for tea last night and was discussing the dress dilemma and she got a bit upset about it, bless her. Anyway I had the dress at my house, cos I was gonna see if I could find someone who did alterations and I suggested she try it on so we could see by how much it was too small. Anyway she then added that she had lost half a stone since coming off the steroid tablets!
Anyway, I was doing the zip up and I thought this is going to go up. The zip stuck a bit and I thought I'm not going to force it so I wiggled it about a bit and up it went right to the top I couldn't believe it and nor could she! Anyway it was a bit tight across the back and her boobs came down a bit below the seam as she didn't have a good bra on. But, she is going to London 2morrow to get herself a good bra which will help cos it will lift her up a bit. Then hopefully she will go to mums on Thurs to see about having hem done up.
I really can't believe it after all the stress of the last week, we didn't know whether to laugh or I am just sooo pleased. Poor thing, what with the stress of it all and stopping the tablets she has lost a lot of weight. I have told her to be careful though as it's not good to loose weight so quickly, but she said her doctor said she probably would now she is off the tablets as they made her balloon up.
Bet you all think I'm barking mad now after making such a fuss last week and all my stressing! But it looks like it may be okay now. Hopefully her weight will stabilise and she will look just great in her dress
Thank you so much everyone for putting up with me and for all your help, you are a really great bunch
Awwwwwww your not barking mad Honey, just a very caring friend.Im so pleased for you and your CBM. Dont worry too much about her losing half a stone so quick i know this can happen when you come of steriods.Just make sure she goes to the Drs for reg check ups.

That is wonderful news. Yes, her weight should stabilise now she is off the steroids. I have taken them a number of times, but only ever for a week or two at most - and even then I can see a difference in my weight.
Your Mum should be calmer now!
As far as underwear goes, I saw a nude body with transparent straps in a local shop which went up to quite big cup sides...
I'm really pleased it fits!!! If it were me and the dress didn't fit I'd be mortified and feel awful, but panic over now, you can get on and enjoy the run up to the day!

I know what you mean about steroids, I had them when I was younger for asthma (thankfully grown out of it now) and I ballooned too. The Dr. didn't believe my mum, so she took me off and I lost 8lb in a week, so your friend may lose some weight yet!

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
