Default Size of your wedding rings?

Just curious as to how wide your wedders are going to be? We tried a few on today and I think I've settled on a 3mm band, but only because it looks about the same size as my ering. However I'm just a bit worried that it will look a bit insignificant without the ering (I wear it everywhere here but having to travel and live in South London doesn't fill me with confidence as far as expensive jewellery is concerned.)

The 4mm ring looked nice but just worried that when I do wear the two together they will look silly.

Any thoughts?

Depends really on the size of your fingers and the type of ring??

A 3mm court ring would look much more prominent than a flat ring, whereas a D shape would be somewhere in the middle!!

What type did you try on?

I've got to get something that resembles a ring pull cos I've got an oval engagement ring and nothing fits with it. Plus I don't want a mass of metal on one finger - might develop muscles in it!!

Liz - no idea to be honest. Described as Ezi-Fit - I haven't seen any reference to the terms used in the UK here. I shall ask next time I'm in - but it wasn't flat, very slightly rounded. Fingers are fat - I'm a size R! :eek3:

Not really sure, but it won't be very wide. I'll let you know once we've actually looked at some!

We have the people coming out to the house to measure us for ours next month.

I have tried on a sample of it at a wedding fair and I think it was possibly 4mm, or maybe 5 ...(Don't laugh, have just been sat here with ruler trying to envisage - then dropped engagement ring on floor whilst was trying to measure width of stone and and, and had to crawl under desk to find it!!).
I have very small fingers though (size H) so don't think I'll ever have room for an eternity ring!

I got a great mental picture of you scrabbling around under your desk with a ruler in your hand then.

The biggest problem I have is that I can't try the bloody thing on with my ering - I have to decide on my size and then order it, and that makes it so much harder. Tempted to take a chance and go for the 4mm - at least I'll be able to see the damn thing when I don't have my ering on (which will be quite often back in London!!).

Plain white gold, no pattern at all. As I said, ever so slightly domed, but not exactly a feature.
