Sorry, minor rant required here
What on earth is going on with clothes sizes at the moment?? I'm so hacked off with trying to buy new clothes right now. Being vertically challenged
at a whopping 5'1" i've always had problems getting clothes which weren't massively too big length wise (chopping 1 foot off of the bottom of a pair of jeans before you can wear them is no fun at all) but recently the problem seems to have gotten worse. Now it seems that everythings gotten bigger (or smaller depending on how you look at it) and what used to be a size 12 is now cunningly disguised in a label that says 10.
I've always been a petite size 10 which seriously restricts where I can buy clothes from (the next petite range has long been one of my bestest buddies but even they only make about a third of their complete range in petite sizes each season) but now i'm finding I need a maximum of a size 8 and in some cases a size 6. There is
no way i'm a size 6! Most stores don't even bother stocking much in such tiny sizes so now not only am I tied to whatever poor selection shops decide to make in their petite ranges each season but am also trying to buy a size that half the shops don't have in stock!
I'll be coming into work naked at this rate!
