Question Advice needed.

Ive got an interview on Tuesday and don't know what to wear. I dont want to appear too formal or too casual!! I was going to wear black trews and a top but think its going to be hot again. Are crops to casual?

The woman hasnt called it an interview shes called it a chat with coffee! Its for a trainee therapistn for her son who is autistic and will involve working with him in school and sometimes at home.

I always wear a suit for an interview or chat for a potential job. Whether that be a knee length skirt and jacket (not too fitted) or a trouser suit. If it's hot I take the jacket off and put it on the back of the chair. I personally wouldn't wear cropped trousers as I don't think it is smart enough - sorry if that isn't what you wanted to hear, just being honest. Perhaps you could wear a trouser suit with a cotton blouse and then take your jacket off if it's hot? Hopefully it won't last too long and you never know, there might even be air con or a fan on if you're lucky.

I hope it goes well for you.

I would say that cropped trousers may be too casual. Can you wear a skirt or linen trousers?? I would always wear at least trousers and a shirt.

Best of luck!!

I thought a suit might be too buisness like for this sort of role. I know im going to be there for 1.5 hours talking to her and then i will meet her son when he comes home from school so suspect 2.5 -3 hours in total.

Mght wear the wrap dress i got for the christening i went too or stick with the black trews an top idea. What do you think?

Oh wrap dress, definitely. You can make it smart or dress it down a bit. You'll be fab whatever you wear, just make sure you're comfy

If you're going to be meeting her son think about what to wear under the dress.......... especially if it may involve sitting on the floor!

Away from topic slightly my friend's sister works in tv, went for an interview for a childrens channel, so wore her usual "suit with skirt" only to have to spend the interview sitting on a bean bag! As she said, if she'd have known she would have worn trousers!
